About
Welcome to Pieous, a culinary gem nestled in the heart of Austin, Texas. This unique pizzeria stands out not just for its pizzas, but for the entire gastronomic experience it provides. Located at 166 Hargraves Dr h, Austin, TX 78737, Pieous has quickly gained a loyal following among locals and visitors alike, thanks to its dedication to crafting exceptional, Neapolitan-style pizzas.

Let's talk about the food. The standout feature at Pieous has to be their crust—achieving that delicate balance of chewy and perfectly charred. As Ryan Castle noted, their pizzas carry the essence of fresh ingredients, with tomato sauce that bursts with flavor, reminiscent of sun-ripened tomatoes. Customers rave about the signature dishes, including the White Pie, which is celebrated for its rich, creamy profile, and the decadent Meat Lovers pie, affectionately dubbed “The Fat Queen.” Each bite is a revelation that showcases the powerful flavors and culinary craftsmanship behind every pizza.
Not to be missed is the famed pastrami dish, which has been declared “king” by diners like Melissa Jandreski. Served on a bed of sourdough with stone mustard, pickles, and red pickled onions, this dish exemplifies how Pieous elevates traditional fare with a modern twist. And let’s not forget their selection of Maine Root sodas, a nostalgic delight that adds an extra layer of enjoyment to your meal.
For families, Pieous offers a fantastic play area, making it a perfect spot for a leisurely Sunday afternoon. Whether you're here to savor a quiet meal or share a fun-filled day with loved ones, Pieous caters to all.
While every dining experience has its quirks—some patrons have noted the cheese can be a tad runny at first—the flavors and overall quality of the food make it a minor detail in the grand scheme of things. Plus, the cleanliness of the establishment, right down to the immaculate bathrooms, adds to its charm.
In conclusion, Pieous is not just another pizzeria; it’s a culinary adventure waiting to unfold. With a menu that boasts creativity, quality ingredients, and a commitment to creating fantastic dishes, every visit promises something special. So, the next time you're in Austin or near Dripping Springs, make sure to stop by Pieous—your taste buds will thank you!
“ One of my favorite pizza places. The crust is amazing. But the Pastrami is king here for me. It comes with sour bread , stone mustard, pickles and red pickled onions. It’s all the way out near Dripping Springs. Usually stop by before going to a winery but sometimes I will come here just to pick up. It’s that good! ”
“ Stopped in at Pieous and overall had a great experience. The food was solid, definitely a spot worth trying if you’re in the area. The crust on the pizzas was a little overdone for my taste, but the flavors more than made up for it. The White Pie was the standout, it really hit the spot with its creamy, rich flavor profile. The Meat Lovers (aka “The Fat Queen”) was also satisfying, loaded with hearty toppings and bold flavor. That said, I was a little disappointed to find that they don’t offer ranch. It’s a small thing, but sometimes that side of ranch just ties it all together. A pleasant surprise was their selection of Maine Root sodas. The Doppelganger in particular brought back memories of the original Dublin Dr Pepper it’s always a treat to find that flavor again. All in all, a solid pizza joint with unique offerings and a nostalgic soda lineup. Just be ready to go ranch-free. ”
“ My first time having neapolitan style pizza. This pizza was amazingly good as was the Caesar salad. Crust was chewy goodness with perfect char. Sauce tasted of fresh tomato picked at its peak. Establishment was new, clean and the staff were super friendly and smiley and greeted you...something hard to find these days. Wine by the glass or bottle. They have their own Pieous red or white too. ”
“ This place is really good! I love the chalk on the walls, it gives it a really fun and creative personality! The food here is really good, but watch out for the cheese! When they first bring the pizza out it is a little runny, but it firms up after a couple minutes. Also, the bathrooms here are so clean and nice it makes you feel as if you were at your house! Overall a great place to eat delicious food!!! ”
“ Wow - bring the kids and have a great Sunday afternoon here. Their play area is top notch and the food is even better. Get the meatball sub - and make sure to get it spicy. Truly a work of art. Our first time here and we’ll put it into regular rotation for sure. ”
“ Pieous is hands down one of our all-time favorite places to eat. My husband and I will gladly drive an hour and a half out of our way just to have a meal here—it’s that good. You can taste the love and passion in every bite, and the owners are usually there working alongside the team, which adds such a genuine, personal touch to the experience. Our go-to order is always the pepperoni pizza and the choppy salad—both are absolutely delicious. The pizza crust is perfectly crisp and chewy with that signature wood-fired flavor, and the choppy salad is fresh, tangy, and packed with flavor. And don’t even get me started on the desserts—the blueberry cheesecake and salted caramel cheesecake are out-of-this-world good. Creamy, rich, and just the right amount of sweet. We never leave without grabbing a slice (or two). If you’re anywhere near Dripping Springs or Austin, do yourself a favor and make the trip. Pieous is the real deal. ”
“ Return customers that hadn’t been to Pieous in a couple years. We thoroughly enjoyed our return lunch and will be sure to be back without as long of a delay as last time. The Pastrami sandwiches are still mouth watering delicious! The Neapolitan pizza is the best in Austin IMHO!! ”
“ Omg this was so good! The classic sandwich with grain mustard- it was my first pastrami sammich and I was in love! Pizza was so good and the tiramisu was the best I’ve had . Highly recommend and will be back sharing ”
